The aim of this subtopic is (as described by the IB syllabus) to define indices of infant mortality, education, nutrition, income, marginalization and Human Development Index (HDI). Also, we need to be able to explain the value of the indices in measuring disparities across the globe. 

Indicators of Disparity

In this activty, we were supposed to define indices of infant mortality, education, nutrition, income, marginalization and Human Development Index (HDI), and then explain the value of the indices in measuring disparities across the globe. We were told to go to the UN Human Development Report website, and pick three LEDCs (in this case, these were Pakistan, Chad, and Kenya) and examine different measures of development, and the value of these measures.
